FAQ

Do you Travel?

Yes. As a Boston-based photographer I've photographed weddings all over New England.
-Travel fees may apply

How long have you been doing this?

I assisted for three years before going out on my own. This was invaluable as I was able to observe before doing, and then applied what I learned. In total, I've been shooting for eleven years and I'm still learning and growing. I love the journey.

How many photos do we get?

This is variable and depends on the number of locations, events, wedding party/family size. However, on an "average" eight-hour wedding you can expect anywhere between 600-800 images.

How do we get our photos?

Your images will be uploaded to a password protected web gallery. Your password is different from your guests' - this allows you to exclude some images from view as well as some other exclusive privileges.

Do you retouch photos?

If you order an album or prints I do a full retouch which includes removing distracting objects, as well as making you look your best. Otherwise you will receive a fully curated color-corrected gallery of images.

Whats your turn around time?

I state four to six weeks. It typically depends on my current work load and it's not uncommon to get images done sooner.

How far in advance do I need to book with you?

My spring and fall calendars tends to fill quickly. Clients tend to book me anywhere between three and eighteen months in advance.

How do we book you?

Just head over the Contact page and give me a call or send me an email. I don't subscribe to a one-size-fits-all approach. My offerings are ala cart and I can guide you as to what "most" couples choose, as well as help build a collection that works best with your budget and expectations. To become a client, I need a signed contract and 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of contract signing. The purpose of doing that is to hold your date on my calendar.

Can you help us with planning?

Absolutely! Once you've signed your contract I'm with you for the ride. You're timeline will be what is most important to me to help you schedule your pictures. We need to keep the church lady and the wedding coordinators happy, and a well-thought-out timeline is key to a stress-free day.

What should we do for an engagement session?

I highly encourage my couples to schedule an engagement session. This accomplishes two things. First, most people don't feel comfortable in front of the camera. This provides an opportunity for me to see how you interact and what cues work and don't work with your personalities. Once your wedding day arrives, we both know each other and your wedding day images will be much more natural and relaxed as you know what to expect. Second, it gives us a chance to get to know each other and for me to learn more about you, your future spouse, your family and your expectations for your day.

What should we wear to our engagement session?

I'm far from a fashionista but I can provide you with some do's and don'ts. The location and your individual styles should probably complement each other, though. Once you book your session, I can advise you on suitable outfits. Some people bring multiple outfits and some even bring their pets!
